Когда пациент заканчивает исследование, монитор проверяет ИРФ для исправления всех ошибок в соответствии со стандартами GCP. Затем ИРФ переносят из клинической базы в офис компании и передают в отдел (или центр) по обработке данных. Иногда на этой стадии выявляют ошибки; их заносят в журнал вопросов. Журнал вместе с копиями соответствующих страниц ИРФ передают обратно в отдел по клиническим исследованиям для разъяснений. Если отдел по клиническим исследованиям не может решить вопрос, делают запрос исследователю для разъяснений. После того как исследователь ответил на вопросы, документы возвращают спонсору. Так как записи в самой первой копии ИРФ стали неправильными, то внесенные изменения перечисляют в журнале по учету изменений в ИРФ. Копию посылают исследователю; основную копию хранят вместе с ИРФ как постоянную запись официально одобренных изменений. См. также Data Query by Clinical Research Staff.
